This finding was reinforced when the researcher observed extremely low, if any, program leaders attempting to use learning transfer skills to process recreation experiences during site visits. The findings of this study support the assertion that the successful transfer of training is the responsibility of each member of the transfer partnership: the program leader, the recreation director, and the staff trainers (Broad & Newstrom, 1992). If recreation is going to be a viable and important component to holistic community development via youth development, then the parks and recreation profession must be successful at transferring learning through outcome-based recreation programming.","Made available in DSpace on 2015-09-28T14:52:59Z (GMT).
