(2) to summarize the necessary technical and musical skills required for performing music composed since 1945 and to suggest a consistent and unified means of notation; (3) to summarize the didactic materials available for developing the technical know-how for contemporary flute music and to cross-reference the newer technical and musical skills with the problems explored in existing didactic materials;
