The influence of vocal tract configuration on F0 of vowels was noted for all participants. However, not all participants demonstrated the influence of F0 control on vowel quality. Similarly, articulatory compensation was not noted for all participants for tongue height adjustments when the jaw was lowered during different lexical tone productions.
