In one case study I have examined DEM L 316, which appears to consist of two overlapping shells. Using the correlation of optical and X-ray morphologies, the velocity profile, and the magnetic field in the overlapping region area, I have shown that DEM L 316 in fact consists of a pair of colliding remnants. Another case study covered N 11L and N 86, which show apparent breakouts into the surrounding medium.
