The most important implication is that post-training coaching is a viable strategy to support transfer of training. HRD practitioners should take more active roles in facilitating transfer during the post-training period. HRD educators should not only teach students the knowledge and skills to develop and deliver training but also incorporate into curricula the tools and skills of distance coaching to support transfer of training. HRD research should further examine the nature of interaction between caching and work environment and trainee characteristic factors.","abstract_html":"The results of this study have implications for HRD practitioners, educators and researchers.
