The same set of values guides domestic and international diversity initiatives. An evolutionary pattern exists for diversity initiatives that has evolved from Affirmative Action to international diversity initiatives. There is a high degree of sophistication in the development of planning, implementation, and evaluation of diversity initiatives in multinational corporations. Factors that assist in the success of diversity initiatives come from different sources: diversity departments, people, and the work environment. All factors are considered important for the success of diversity initiatives. Diversity initiatives are not free from barriers that hinder their progress. They come from people in organizations, the work environment, and from the initiatives themselves. Finally, multinational corporations have future plans to address diversity initiatives domestically and internationally. The results indicate that diversity initiatives will continue to become even more important for multinational corporations in the future.","abstract_html":"This study revealed the following: Multinational corporations are planning, developing and implementing an impressive number and variety of diversity initiatives not only in the United States but also internationally.
