In addition, two bases for the representation of the molecular wavefunctions are described along with a simple, semiclassical, analytic approximation to the reactive cross section. This development is continued by rendering these analytic formalisms, for the S('+2)-H and N('+4)-H systems, into quantitative reactive cross sections through the numerical solution of the scattering equations in an appropriate basis. Simple interpretations of the qualitative features of these calculations are then possible and their astrophysical relevance reviewed, with particular attention to the limitations of semiclassical methods utilized by previous investigators of these systems.","Made available in DSpace on 2015-05-13T15:41:35Z (GMT).
