Due to technological limitations, VR for the last thirty years has not really caught on since users were always left feeling dizzy and uncomfortable after a few minutes of using it. With the emergence of computationally precise devices like the Oculus Rift and the Leap Motion, there has been a resurgence of interest in VR and human computer interaction, a subset of VR that is within the haptic and tactile realm. This thesis provides a description of a system that provides haptic feedback when touching a virtual object, and also demonstrates the e cacy through an experiment.
