The thermal model was used to estimate the operating temperatures of the combine and evaluate the combustion potential around the machine.","Mathematical relationships representing the power requirements and heat transfer were used in a system simulation to solve for the steady state operating temperatures and power requirements of a combine. An International Harvester 715 Combine was used to verify the model. Field tests were conducted in corn to measure operating temperatures.","The model provided a good macro-analysis of the temperatures and the power requirements for typical conditions in an operating combine.","Made available in DSpace on 2014-12-16T04:46:30Z (GMT).
