The VADS test was evaluated for test-retest reliability and by item analysis. Subject opinions were sought and recorded concerning the exercises included in the VADS Test and MLR Program materials. Institutions included in the study were the University of Illinois at Urbana, Millikin University, Blackburn College, and Kaskaskia Junior College.","The MLR Program materials were found to be effective in improving subject scores on the VADS Test. Reliabilities obtained from test-retest evaluation of the VADS Test were acceptable for group testing. Increasing the number of exercises did not raise its reliability. Obtained item difficulties and item discriminations were lower than commonly recommended.
