The comparison method, which is based on the Fourier Amplitude Spectra, was able to discriminate between computed solutions giving good and bad agreement with the experimental results.","A large-scale structure which had been previously tested as part of the US-Japan Cooperative Research Program was analyzed. Results suggested that the testing procedure (single-degree-of-freedom pseudodynamic loading) can underestimate the shear forces acting on the wall during a strong earthquake, and can lead to incorrect conclusions about the safety of the structure.","Made available in DSpace on 2014-12-15T20:36:33Z (GMT).
