Results of these analyses revealed that the Iranian readers of EFL suffer from a serious deficit in the use of text organization as a source of information in reading. This deficiency was demonstrated particularly in the areas of cohesion and rhetorical relations. Furthermore, evidence was obtained to indicate that the ability to use text organization is strongly related to reading speed and comprehension.","It is suggested that instruments employed in the study could be used in conducting further research on text organization.
