In the final design of the reactor, a rotor creates a liquid layer on the inner wall of a cooling jacket and provides strong mixing at the gas-liquid interface. The mass transfer rates achieved in the reactor were measured by a chemical technique in which sodium sulfite was oxidized in the fast reaction regime. A short study was conducted on the kinetics of sulfite oxidation to support the results of the mass transfer studies.","Made available in DSpace on 2014-12-13T18:55:45Z (GMT).
