This research provides for a deeper understanding of contextualized personality assessment by examining the effects of item context specificity and perceived context relevance on the measurement properties of Big Five Conscientiousness facets within the contexts of work and school. Results indicate that an item’s discrimination is related to its perceived context relevance and its level of context specificity.
