Results of the review indicated an absence of appropriate software. A series of four software programs were designed and developed incorporating specific instructional objectives of the YMES Primary One Course.","Eighteen children were randomly divided into control and experimental groups. Each group attended weekly classes for a 14-week period. Children in the experimental group spent an additional weekly session of fifteen to twenty minutes working with the computer curriculum. Results of a posttest given to both groups indicated the experimental group scored higher than the control group.","A survey assessing parent attitudes toward computers, music and YMES instruction was administered at the conclusion of the study. Results from parent responses indicated a positive attitude toward CBI and computer use.","A courseware evaluation rating scale to evaluate the four software programs was also completed by the parents.
