This research project was motivated by the unique place-based context of the Bodaway Gap Chapter and how the Engineering Consultants perception of that context impacted project management and design decisions. Data collected through autoethnographic notes were analyzed with thematic analysis. Thematic analysis revealed three themes on the impact the context of the Bodaway Gap Chapter had on the project. The discussion explores how the themes of the Engineering Consultants practice were relevant in project management decisions and delivery of final conceptual design.
