Our multilevel modeling approach reveals that enrollment does not significantly impact motivation to lead or leadership skill, but it is a significant predictor of leader self-efficacy. These findings emphasize the importance of considering individual variations in leader capacity development. Our study contributes to the literature on leadership education, highlighting the potential of enrollment in leadership courses to enhance students’ confidence in their leadership abilities. Further research is needed to explore additional variables and refine measurement methods.
