Made up of an assemblage of objects from over 60 countries, representing the local array of immigrant populations in the Norrebro neighborhood, this park addresses integration and unity in both a literal and symbolic way. These cultural objects, however, implemented to represent a diverse local population, currently offer only a passive form of inclusivity. The need for active forms of inclusivity at Superkilen Park presents an opportunity to implement culturally-specific programming to better engage the community of Norrebro, initiating a shift from static objects to active, time-based experiences. This thesis analyzes the sensory experience of the park through observational methods to propose how Superkilen can be transformed.
