To solve the inverse problem, we built a forward model for ionosonde sounding of the equatorial ionosphere. The Valley experiment utilizing both the ISR and VIPIR ionosonde (vertical incidence pulsed ionospheric radar) was conducted at Jicamarca Radio Observatory. From the Valley experiment, we collected information about Faraday rotation using the ISR data, and ionograms generated using the VIPIR ionosonde.
