In order to implement these algorithms efficiently, characterization of the produced states is necessary to ensure that the generated state accurately matches the target. In this thesis, we present work on the implementation of a Bayesian tomography algorithm that provides improved performance in this low-data regime relative to the standard maximum likelihood approach.
