The middleware’s main objectives are easy-to-use, easy-to-deploy and providing a framework for customization on the annotation and sensor managing process. The experiments show that with the middleware, a short connection time is required for each node and every node has a reasonable failure detection ability. Lastly, it is presented that the implemented background subtraction-based video streaming strategy in the middleware has more minor average lags in static scenes compared with HLS streaming.
