Existing rehabilitation methods are largely qualitative and lack objective performance metrics. To address these limitations, the Wearable Technology and Sensory Enhancement Laboratory at UIC has developed the Tongue-Trackpad system, a wireless intraoral device paired with a web interface for the quantitative assessment of tongue movement. This system is used for diagnostics and therapeutic intervention in tongue rehabilitation. To enhance user engagement and motivation in the rehabilitation process, this study applies gamification and 3D rendering to create enhanced rehabilitation activities for tongue rehabilitation. These enhanced activities were evaluated through Intrinsic Motivation Inventory user evaluations.
