Data compiled over 14 years on 47 well-trained, collegiate female rowers were used. Subjects’ PR (personal record) 2K scores for each of their four years with the University team were analyzed. Results showed significant differences between both Year 1 to Year 2 and Year 2 to Year 3 2K PR scores. The greatest change in 2K scores occurred between Year 1 and Year 2. No significant differences were seen between Year 3 and Year 4 2K scores. From the data collected, a range for expected annual improvement in collegiate female 2K testing was created.
