Physical Exercise as Treatment for Hyperactivity in Children.
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe hyperactive syndrome is marked by symptomatic patterns of excessive non-goal-directed motor activity, short attention span, easy distractibility, impulsivity, and associated learning and behavioral problems (Satterfield, Cantwell, and Satterfield, 1974). The syndrome is observed early in life and is more common among boys. The child seldom completes a task and frequently shifts from one activity to another (Marwit and Stenner, 1972).
