Abstract
dc:description.abstractUnderwood (1969) conceptualized memory for a word as involving the retention of a collection of attributes. Different types of encoded information are represented by these attributes, which serve to discriminate one memory from another. The attributes which are established as a memory during learning, may vary as a function of age.
