Problems of assimilation and cultural pluralism among Chinese-Americans in San Francisco : an exploratory study

<p>For many years a difference of opinion has existed regarding inter-ethnic relations dealing specifically with the Chinese-Americans. This is all part of the process of social change which is currently taking place in the United States. Not only the Chinese-Americans, but other minorities as well, are attempting to find their place within the American society. Therefore, a study of the Chinese-Americans is very timely. Hopefully this study will contribute to the larger body of theory dealing with intergroup relations.</p>
