Uso de la inteligencia artificial (IA) en los procesos prioritarios en auditoria en salud
Abstract
dc:descriptionQuality auditing in health is a mechanism through which health entities must guarantee the way in which they provide their services, since they are analyzed and reviewed to ensure that the criteria established in the law for their effectiveness and provision of services to patients are met. The auditor is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the information obtained and comparing it to establish whether or not the health entity is complying with what is established in the law. Among the different tools for the development of the audit, there are new communication and information technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), which emerges as a promising solution to optimize health audit processes. Although there are “rudimentary” applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in this field, its potential to identify complex patterns, automate tasks and improve the accuracy of results has not yet been fully exploited. The application of artificial intelligence (AI) allows auditors to acquire certain advantages when carrying out technical, evaluative and preventive processes, since it facilitates a more thorough analysis of the information as well as the review of larger amounts of information, thus generating precision in the inspection of the data and guaranteeing its integrity. Based on the above, for the development of this monograph, a survey was conducted with a group of auditors through a questionnaire, which allowed to establish the perception of these professionals regarding the convenience of using or implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in health audit processes and how this tool would help in the optimization of their processes. Finally, it is concluded that artificial intelligence (AI), being a recent tool and being in constant evolution, is not yet widely accepted by health entities, and that its adoption would greatly reduce errors and guarantee more precise results, thus strengthening the priority processes of health auditing.
