Mora county, New Mexico, and Tapetes de Lana: Weaving the tapestry of poverty and cultural preservation

Mora County, New Mexico, has rich natural beauty and a long history of economic success followed by failure. The future of the county is uncertain, but a nonprofit corporation, Tapetes de Lana, has been founded to revive traditional crafts and at the same time provide a sustainable, community-based source of income for local residents.
