Abstract
dc:descriptionFurther evidence regarding the adsorption of organic ampholytes is lacking. It was therefore decided to begin a systematic study of the problem by obtaining adsorption isotherms for some thirty amino acids, vitamins and related compounds on one charcoal. When this was completed representative compounds were taken for further study with other charcoals, to determine whether observed differences in adsorption were due to qualitative differences existing within the charcoal as well as to the properties of the individual compounds used
