Infinity songs

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Infinity Songs is a work for soprano, narrator, mixed ensemble and electronics that explores the life cycle of a star. Each of the work’s four movements depicts a different stage of the star’s life, including how new stars are born from the remnants of previous stars. The piece was written for Leah Hollingshead and the University of Texas New Music Ensemble and sets newly written texts by Haochen Wang and Ryan Paradiso.
