A factorial design was used to study the main and interaction effects of these alcohols as measured by the retention time, selectivity, and resolution of each pair of enantiomers, as well as the critical pair: (+)-Δ9-THC and (-)-Δ8-THC. Methanol did not significantly affect the enantioseparation of the critical pair, while the interaction effect was significant in all cases.
