By analyzing existing data of these characteristics from the Fatal Accident Reporting System (FARS) database, the results from Travis County will be compared to Texas’ ten most populated counties, the State of Texas, and the United States. Evaluation of these factors suggest strategies to minimize the number of motor-vehicle fatality crashes that occur each year in Travis County.
