Abstract
dc:description.abstractFor this project, we will analyze how to study how students learn differential equations. First, we will analyze what is generally taught in a differential equations course so we can establish the importance of what students are learning and give a sense of what they are learning. We will then establish what Bloom’s Taxonomy is and discuss it to illustrate that students progress through learning subject material. We then discuss factors affecting learning such as mindset, socioeconomic standing, and gender stereotypes. We then analyze how math classes have been historically taught to address these factors that affect learning.
