So much interest was shown in this effort that the idea spread to other cities in Texas and to other states. This present movement has been primarily among Baptist youth in southern and southwestern states. In Texas, it has been under the sponsorship of the Texas Baptist Student Union. Many other states have followed the example set by Texas; however, every youth revival has not been a Baptist Student Union project. The aim of this paper has been to study the history of the Waco Youth for Christ; to learn of the details of youth revival organization; to secure the qualifications for team members; to collect statistics of the youth revivals that have been reported to the Baptist Student Offices in the South and Southwest from April, 1945, through September, 1948; to find out what plans have been made to retain the enthusiasm and results of the youth revivals; and to evaluate the youth revival as a youth movement. Each of these aims has been treated separately and has been so arranged in this paper.","abstract_html":"In April, 1945, a renewed interest in evangelism was expressed when a revival for young people was held in Waco, Texas.
