The Best of Times, the Worst of Times: 3 Years of Experiments In Graduate Lighting

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

This thesis seeks to chronicle the author's journey from novice to mastery in the study of Lighting Design. Through the examination and thorough analysis of several large scale design projects, the author intends to gain a greater depth of understanding about his own process as a designer and artist while demonstrating to the readers several points which would aid others in the process and study of Lighting Design. It also attempts to explore the deeply personal and sometimes difficult inner journey of growth that results in mastery and higher education.
