Experiment 1 examines how the strength of associative relationships in memory, as measured by lexical co-occurrence based corpus-derived scores (Mutual Information), affects spoken sentence comprehension. Experiment 2 examines the role of associative relationship in processing repeated discourse references back to the target item.
