Their influence on one another has been noted but not yet fully explored. This dissertation remedies that lack. It shows the dependence in addressing this topic of Royce on Sellars and Sellars on Rorty. It then argues that Rorty’s position would have benefited from engaging more fully with Royce’s thought.
