Knowledge representation for restriction digestion and reconstructing DNA in a genetic lab
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe project issues are about knowledge representation for restriction digestion and reconstructing DNA with enzymes in the genetic lab.The research subject is to create conceptual objects and tools in a graphic interface so that the diagnosis and teaching of this knowledge are carried out easily by the tutor. Knowledge representation is described in a document named l' étudiant virtuel .The document is named l'étudiant virtuel because it is centered on the structures of representation of knowledge used by the student and the expert. However, the purpose of these structures of representation is to describe real objects and to handle them conceptually.The results of the thesis are establishing semantic and procedure knowledge relative to a real genetic lab. Episodic knowledge is recorded for what the student does in the genetic lab.The corresponding objects and tools have been built for real genetic lab simulation.
