The aim is to highlight the heterogeneous impact of international financial aid on agricultural production, depending on the climatic conditions prevailing in the panel of SADC member countries. To do this, we first used an estimation approach based on the ordinary least squares method, which, in the context of time series for a panel of countries, cannot deal with the problem of individual country effects. For this reason, we needed to be able to use one of the individual effects methods, namely the fixed effects method, in order to eliminate the effects specific to each country in our study panel. We then estimated a dynamic model with the Arellano-Bover/Blundell-Bond estimator, which applies fixed effects and uses the generalised method of moments (GMM) in a system. Our sample is based on a set of 16 countries with data covering the period 1960-2022. It should be noted, however, that the value of foreign financial aid used here is a proxy for foreign aid to agriculture. This analysis shows that international (foreign) financial aid has a significant impact when climatic conditions have a moderate effect on a country's agricultural production. Et l’objectif ici est de mettre en évidence l’impact hétérogène de l’aide financière internationale sur la production agricole selon les conditions climatiques qui prévalent au sein du panel de ces pays membres de la SADC. Pour ce faire, nous nous sommes d’abord servis d’une approche d’estimation par la méthode des moindres carrés ordinaires, qui dans le cadre des séries chronologiques portant sur un panel de pays, ne peut pas traiter de la problématique des effets individuels liés à ceux-ci. Raison pour laquelle, il a nécessité pour nous de pouvoir faire recours à l’une des méthodes à effets individuelles à savoir la méthode à effets fixes, afin d’éliminer les effets spécifiques à chaque pays de notre panel d’étude. Puis nous avons estimé un modèle dynamique avec l’estimateur Arellano-Bover/Blundell-Bond, qui applique des effets fixes et utilise la méthode des moments généralisés (GMM) en système. Notre échantillon est basé sur un ensemble de 16 pays dont les données couvrent la période 1960-2022. Nous précisons tout de même que la valeur de l’aide financière étrangère utilisée ici est une valeur proxy de l’aide étrangère destinée à l’agriculture. De cette analyse il ressort que l’aide financière internationale (étrangère) a un impact significatif lorsque les conditions climatiques ont un effet moyen sur la production agricole des pays.
