Les devoirs du médecin à l'égard du patient en matière de recherche clinique: aspects éthiques et juridiques

The physician doing clinicat research must abide by exacting scientific standards within research protocol, yet as regards his patient, he must respect his code of professional conduct. This essay is an analysis of this role duality and of the obligations resulting therefrom, using a comparative approach between the usual context of treatment and that of clinical research. There is food for thought, and some outline solutions are proposed in order to delimit the hazards inherent to research, all this with an orientation to competent medical practice and patient protection. Legal recognizance or research ethics boards seems to be a solution to this problem.
