Participants were asked to complete a survey upon discharge as a patient from the Emergency Department. The survey contained questions regarding demographic data and a tool using a likert type scale to measure level of satisfaction with nursing care related to the subscales of technical competence, psychological safety, information giving, and discharge teaching.<br> This study found that, in general, participants had a high level of satisfaction with nursing care in the Emergency Department. The highest level of satisfaction was with technical competence of the nurse. The subscale with the least level of satisfaction was discharge teaching.
