<p>Objectives identified for this study are:<br> 1. To determine behaviors that hospitalized patients identify manifestations of caring by the nurse.<br> 2. To analyze data from patient interviews for patterns and themes of caring behaviors of the nurse.<br> 3. To determine patients’ feelings generated by the nurse’s caring behavior.<br> 4. To organize patients’ descriptions of feelings into common themes and categorize according to their meaning.</p>
