Incorporating Christian Spirituality Into the Master of Divinity Program at Mid-America Reformed Seminary in Dyer, Indiana
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis project sought to incorporate Christian spirituality into the educational program at Mid-America Reformed Seminary in Dyer, Indiana. Chapter 1 presents the history and ministry context of Mid-America Reformed Seminary and the goals of this project. Chapter 2 provides exegesis of four passages of Scripture (Matt 22:34-40; 1 Tim 4:1–5; Titus 2:11–14; 1 Pet 2:11–12) to define the nature of Christian spirituality and its role in the development of godliness in Christian ministry. Chapter 3 examines the historical and theoretical basis for the incorporation of Christian spirituality in seminary education. Chapter 4 describes the implemented project, carefully recounting the goals, methodology employed, and results of the research. Chapter 5 evaluates the efficacy of the project based on completion of the specified goals.
