Training Lay Leaders at Community of Life Baptist Church in the Fundamentals of a Plural Pastoral Leadership

This project sought to train lay leaders of Community of Life Baptist Church in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in the fundamentals of a plural pastoral leadership. Chapter 1 presents the history and ministry context of Community of Life Baptist Church and the goals of this project. Chapter 2 provides the biblical foundation of a plural pastoral leadership based on the exegesis of the following passages of Scripture: Exodus 18:1- 27, Acts 4:32-37, Acts 14:23, Acts 20:17-35, Philippians 1:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, 1 Timothy 5:17, Titus 1:5, Hebrews 13:17, James 5:14, and 1 Peter 5:1-4. Chapter 3 presents the biblical philosophy of a plural pastoral leadership, which involves the requirements and responsibilities of pastoral ministry. Chapter 4 describes the project itself, recounting the content and teaching methodology of the course’s curriculum. Chapter 5 evaluates the efficacy of the project based on the completion of the specified goals.
