Diseño simultáneo de procesos y sistemas de control predictivo mediante índices de controlabilidad basados en normas

Abstract

[EN] In this work a methodology for simultaneous process and control system design, also called integrated design, has been proposed to obtain optimal plants considering cost and controllability. It is based on closed loop transfer function norms, reducing the computational load in comparison to other existing techniques. It is a simple methodology, easy to use applying classical control theory. It uses popular optimization algorithms such us Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) or other multiobjective and stochastic methods. Model Predictive Control (MPC) has been chosen to implement the integrated design techniques because of its appropriate features for controlling the activated sludge process, such as constraints and multivariable systems managing and intuitive working. The methodology proposed includes robustness issues by means of polytopic uncertain regions of easy calculation, and it can be also applied to the synthesis problem or plant structure determination.
