The research shows that integration of a TV news-story format and easy-to-use Cloud-based and tablet-based technologies present solutions to challenges reported in past research and encourage pre-service teachers to incorporate the technique in their future classroom. It is the journey students experience when creating the TV news-story that provides pedagogical benefits to learners as they research subject matter; interview those directly involved with the issue; visit locations; see the issue first hand; and synthesize the material into a short succinct two-minute TV news-story.
