The sample population included 170 members of the teaching staff at Absegami High School, a large comprehensive high school located in Galloway Township, New Jersey.</p> <p>The study utilized an action research design in which a needs assessment was distributed to teachers to determine workshop offerings, and workshops were evaluated with respect to content, presenter, length of time, and relevance to classroom instruction.
