Eleven students enrolled in the alternative high school education program between the ages of 16 and 19 were asked to report their experiences with bullying through a school-created survey that is administered annually to the entire high school population. The results of the 2010 survey of 816 high school students were compared to the results of the 11 students enrolled in the alternative education program. An independent samples t test revealed no significant difference in perceptions of bullying experiences between the results of the two groups. Both groups reported experiencing almost the same amount of bullying during their school year.
