Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe isolated effect of divergence angle on nozzle performance and the variation of nozzle performance over a wide range of divergence angles are determined. Data for nozzles with area ratio of 200, which vary in conical half angle from 10 to 45 degrees, are included. An analytical expression is developed which explains the test results. Since the flow is partially ionized, the effect of catalytic and non-catalytic wall materials on nozzle performance is also investigated.
