Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis describes the work of the author towards an M. Phil, degree in the field of Fault-Tolerant Digital Machine Design. As a preview, fail-safe machine design is discussed in detail, and various new design techniques are presented. The fundamentals of fault-tolerant digital machine design are presented, along with various design techniques. Both hardware construction and computer simulation programs have been used liberally throughout this study.
